My Testimony Part 2
After inviting God into my life, just three days later, my dad died. It was the most difficult moment of my life, yet, thirty-seven years later, it was the single most important moment of my life. You are probably wondering how this could be. It was the single most important moment of my life because it forced me to confront the single most important question that any of us will ever face: "Where will you spend eternity?" I trust that you have squared up this most important question. I trust that you have come to the place where you have believed that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world (John 3:16), and I trust that you have placed your faith in Him and Him alone (Romans 10:9-10). About one and a half years went by before I made application for acceptance as a student at Columbia Bible College in Columbia, SC. CBC is now known as Columbia International University. I close this portion of my story with how the Lord Jesus provided for my college education. Without parents or any other support system, I had no money to pay for a college education. But, one Sunday evening in 1983, after the church service, I was approached by a wonderful couple who asked to talk with me. To make a long story short, they told me that for three months the Lord had made it clear to them that they were to pay for my entire college education. Needless to say, this couple, who are still living near my childhood hometown of Garden City, Ga, are most important to me. Thank you, Father in heaven, for the faithfulness of this couple! Oh how you used them in my life.
